管理,沟通以及技术接受的跨文化差异
Cross-Cultural Differences in Management, Communication, and Technology Acceptance

1Chinese companies are globalizing at a breath-taking speed, making China the largest trading nation and one of the largest investors in the world. At the same time, global companies have become important players in many Chinese industries, and new technologies reshape the way we communicate and work. This course introduces students to origins, elements and consequences of culture relevant to effectively managing people in international organizations and leading cross-cultural work teams. Based on cross-cultural differences in communication styles, students also learn how to engage in successful negotiations in international business. Moreover, we will discuss and practice how to adapt a company‘s products and communication to satisfy different consumption needs across the globe. Lastly, students will hear about new technologies (e.g., Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Virtual/Augmented Reality, IoT) and how different cultures embrace new products with these technologies. All theoretical concepts are illustrated with many practical examples and practiced in a group project, in-class role-plays, and in-class practice cases.
